She loves it and sits there while D. Sawyer interviews her with a look of concern. This all made me hopping mad that they even gave this girl the time of day and gave her her fifteen minutes of fame and that they glorified, what I consider "prostitution"
Make prostitution legal and marriage has no more weight in society. We already have so many problems with keeping marriages together, if people had an actual excuse for an extra marital affairs, then really what's the point of monogamy anymore?
Prostitution costs the city of San Francisco 11 million dollars each year. In November, they put a referendum up on the ballot to make it legal. It didn't pass, obviously because we would have heard about it, but let's say it had. So if they legalize it, for sure it would save them a shitload of money. And even if they put all that money into free health care clinics for the hos, and even if they legalized prostitution and it becomes safer, it will detrimentally take a toll on the family system of the United States.
And, really our family system has already been tossed aside. Thankfully, president Obama is planning to do something about it. By changing our Family Medical Leave Act so that more people, more employees from small companies, are granted 60 days of unpaid leave to take care of relatives or children, he making it available to many more people. But the problem still is that it's unpaid.
In Scandinavia, when a woman goes on maternity leave, she is granted three years of paid leave. In Germany, a couple is given monthly payments to put towards day care so that the woman is able to get back to work. While we'd like to think that the United States is a caring and nurturing place to raise a family, it's not.
Women are still making less for every dollar a man makes. Even though things like the EPA, Equal Pay Act exist, women are paid 77/78 cents less then a man who works the exact same position of her. Skill, responsibility and effort are most certainly to be taken into consideration, but if a man and woman are really on the same level position both working equally as hard, equal pay seems logical.
I don't know what to say or do besides write this all down and be disgusted by it. And yes, definitely you can read this and be like "hello, you are sitting on your couch with a bag of Golden Grahams, get up and do something." And maybe you think I'm overreacting, but these are real facts, go check.
So good luck Melanie. I hope your sugar daddy buys you some class.

At least you're eating a respectable cereal like Golden Grahams. I would not have cared for what you said if you were scarfing down Lucky Charms.
